Hearts on fire; feet on the move...Pope Francis
St. Anne Mother of Mary was formed from two parishes in the early 2000s, St. Anne's in Parish New York and St. Mary's Star of the Sea in Mexico. Thus, we always remember that the Church was consecrated as St. Mary's Star of the Sea and that cannot change. We invoke Our Lady Star of the Sea for her help especially during this coronavirus pandemic. May she lead us to safety and ultimately to solid ground - Heaven!
Christ Our Light was formed from two parishes in 2007, namely St. Frances Cabrini in Lacona and St. John the Evangelist in Pulaski. Hence, we cannot forget these beautiful patrons in our lives. We have a nice statue of St. Frances Cabrini and a relic from her. We remember the words written in Latin on her Statue, "I can do all things in Him who strengthens (comforts) me." How true! We are looking for a statue of St. John the Evangelist and we wonder what the correct feast day for Our Parish should be. The Transfiguration is one idea.
